Job Description
About Us:
Client is looking for Class A CDL drivers based in Laredo, TX, to haul auto batteries for a dedicated customer. Drivers deliver palletized batteries using an electric pallet jack and pick up return core. Weekly home time is standard, and most runs go to Phoenix, AZ and back.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a Class A tractor-trailer (dry van) on regional routes
Haul auto batteries for a dedicated customer
Deliver palletized batteries using an electric pallet jack
Pick up return core at delivery stops
Run primarily between Laredo, TX and Phoenix, AZ
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
$27.50 per hour , with overtime after 40 hours
Drivers average $100,000 per year and $1,900+ per week
Home weekly
Departure typically Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, based on when the load is ready
Most runs are Laredo to Phoenix, AZ and back
Late-model Freightliners with lift-gate trailers
A Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement is required within 60 days of hire . Client can help you obtain it.
At least 22 years old
Valid Class A CDL
No more than three moving violations in the past three years (some restrictions apply)
No more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the past three years
9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years
A profile created in the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov before hire
